Dr. Lewis McAfee

(Representing Union County)

Dr. Lewis McAfee has a BA and MED degree in Social Studies Education from North Georgia College, an Ed. S. degree of Educational Supervision and an Ed. D. degree in Educational Leadership from the University of Georgia. He has worked for Union County High School as a Social Studies Teacher and then became the Principal for both Union County High School and Union County Middle School. At the present Dr. McAfee is the Assistant Superintendent for Instruction for the Union County Board of Education. He is an Adjunct faculty member for Brenau University and Piedmont College.

Lewis has been a member of the Georgia Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development, National Staff Development Council, Georgia Association of Educational Leaders, District One Georgia Association of Curriculum and Instructional Supervisors, serving as District Director and is currently the State GACIS Treasurer. Dr. McAfee has co-published in the Journal of Staff Development and National Association of Secondary School Principals Bulletin.
