E. Alice Worthan(Representing Hart County)Alice Worthan earned a BA degree at New Jersey State College, MA degree at Paine College Augusta, Diploma at Athens, Georgia and attended community schools.Alice is a retired Elementary educator of New Jersey of 40 years. Former Hart County Board of Education member and earned the distinguished Teacher of the Year award during her tenure of the Year 2001 - 2002 in Hart County. Alice is the founder/coordinator of the Hart County School System's Dropout, Recovery/Prevention/Intervention Specialist in Hart County High School. She is a member of the Board of DFACS in Hart County. She is the youth ministry at St. James Christian Methodist Episcopal Church, Vice-President of the Optimist Club, President of AARP Chapter 2006 in Hart County, Past chair of the Hart County Tobacco-Free Coalition, and presently serving on the Stewardess Board for the Elberton/Gainesville District. back to list |
